What to Know
MDSCAA began the Homeless Assistance Program during the 2016/2017 program year. Staff work with any individuals or families who are literally homeless and help them to stabilize their housing needs by providing them with resources and access to housing programs.
Eligible people who earn 0-30% of the Area Median Income may receive help with case management services and potentially receive financial assistance such as security deposit and short to medium term rental assistance.
In addition, homeless service staff are sometimes able to provide sleeping bags and tents or can set up emergency shelter, providing people with an immediate, safe place to sleep at night.
