Early Childhood Program
The Early Childhood Program is dedicated to providing comprehensive services that support the healthy development of young children and their families. The program primarily serves low-income families with children from birth to age 5 and pregnant women. The Early Childhood program helps families through Head Start, Early Head Start, and Michigan Department of Education funding.
These programs include:
Early childhood education
Health and nutrition services
Family support services.
Enrollment is prioritized on various factors including income, homelessness, foster care and children with special needs.
Families who are receiving assistance such as TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), FAP (Food Assistance Program) or SSI (Supplemental Security Income) are deemed eligible for our program. Other family circumstances are also considered.
