Community Action Agency - Wellness Fair

MDSCAA is excited to sponsor the Community Action Agency - Wellness Fair at the UP State Fair! It will be taking place on Senior Citizens Day - Wednesday, August 19th from 11am-2pm, with a raffle and door prizes given away at 2:15pm! Enter the raffle for a chance to win a new bicycle!


To be eligible for the drawing:

  1. Reserve and receive a congregate meal during the Wellness Fair (reservation and meal details below) and complete a registration form.

  2. When obtaining your meal at the event, you will receive 2 tickets with the same number.

  3. Use 1 ticket to obtain your meal.

  4. Retain 1 ticket to be used in the raffle.

  5. You must be present to win.


Lunch will be served at noon and includes:

  • Egg Salad with Croissant

  • 3 Bean Salad

  • Carrot Raisin Salad

  • Sunshine Cake & Milk

(The lunch menu has been updated to the above as of 8/12/2026)

The suggested donation is $4.50 for those 60 and above, $7 for those 59 and younger. Please call 906-786-8850 to reserve your meal before Monday, August 17th!


As a reminder - Admission to the UP State Fair for seniors aged 65 and older is discounted to $5 on Senior Citizen Day.

Hosted by MDSCAA Senior Services.

"Come join us for a day of wellness, food & fun!"

Bicycle Drawing — To be eligible: 1) Receive a congregate meal and complete a registration form (meals available to those 60+ for a suggested donation; guests under 60 must pay $7.50)
2) You will receive two tickets with the same number 
3) Use a ticket to get your meal 
4) Keep the second ticket — you'll need it for the bicycle drawing; 
5) You must be present to win.

Congregate Meal — All ages are welcome! 

We are a nonprofit organization; 100% of donations go directly back into the Senior Services Nutrition Program, supporting meals for local seniors.

Come enjoy a meal, connect with your community, learn about wellness, and enter for your chance to win a bicycle! You must be 18+ and present to win. All prize drawings will be at 2:15 PM.
