Menominee Delta Schoolcraft Community Action Agency is currently seeking a Board Member to represent the Private Sector in the Menominee County area. This person must be an official or member from a major local group, business, industry, labor, religious organization, or educational institution. The 18-person MDSCAA Board meets 8 times annually and is divided into 3 types of representatives:

• Elected (public) Sector

  • Consists of local elected public officials (like mayors or city/county commissioners) or their designated representatives.

  • Ensures governmental alignment, legal compliance, and coordination with municipal resources.

  • Provides official institutional connection to local governing bodies.

• Private Sector

  • Drawn from major community stakeholders like local businesses, industry, labor, religious groups, and civic organizations.

  • Brings business acumen, resource mobilization capacity, and community networks.

  • Helps build job opportunities and private partnerships for low-income residents

• Low-Income Consumer

  • Composed of residents who live in the service area and are democratically selected to represent low-income individuals and families.

  • Gives direct voice, lived perspective, and active participation to the populations affected by poverty.
